Bloopers

As-salaamu-a-laykum (may peace be upon you)

We pray that you are in the best of health and eemaan.

Welcome to the light hearted side to our website. As I progressed in my journey of this website and the material for it, I obviously made mistakes. This is a compilation of the recordings that made it through to our top ten bloopers!

At this moment I would like to draw your attention to a companion of the Messenger of Allah (pbuh). His name was Nu-aymaan bin Amr (ra) and can easily be classed as the funniest sahabi (companion) that ever lived. He was a participant in the Battle of Badr, Uhud, Khandaq and all the major battles in Islam. He was married to the sister of Abdur Rahman ibn Awf (ra), so he was no lightweight companion.

This is that companion who made the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) laugh on many occasions. Here is one such incident:

Once in Madina there came a caravan with exotic fruit , Nu-aymaan took some fruit from them and gave it to the Prophet (pbuh) and said ‘ This is a gift for you’ and told the guys at the caravan ‘I will pay you later. After some time whenever they requested payment, Nu-aymaan would say ‘I didn’t eat it, the Prophet did, go and demand payment from him’. When they went to the Prophet’s house and requested the money, the Prophet (pbuh) said ‘What are you talking about that fruit was given to me as a gift’. The Messenger called Nu-aymaan and asked him ‘Didn’t you give me this fruit as a gift’, Nu-aymaan replied ‘Yes O Messenger of Allah, I thought to myself that you were the most deserving for this fruit but the unfortunate thing is I had no money, so pay them. At this point the Prophet (pbuh) laughed and payed them.

The point I am trying to make is that it's alright to be a little light hearted from time to time.

Here are a few recordings of mine when things weren’t going to plan......Enjoy!
